Pinehurst is a small town that is growing rapidly. It once attracted those that were retiring or vacationing. Void of the bright lights, but plenty to do. People of all ages have discovered this great place. The health care facilities for an area of this size would be hard to beat.

If you are retired, golf and don't mind not having good restaurants this is the place. The problem is you need to drive an hour north to Raleigh for any shopping, restaurants, culture and music. It is very white, wealthy and snooty. The good news is there is virtually no crime, world famous courses and very few people under sixty

probably the less crime. According to our research of South Carolina and other state lists, there were 105 registered sex offenders living in Anderson, South Carolina as of October 14, 2019. The ratio of all residents to sex offenders in Anderson is 266 to 1.
